Are there any listings of mods currently supported by FML? For example, I have the understanding that all you need to do for mods now is to just drag the rar/zip into the mods folder, and other more intrusive mods into the coremods (correct me if I am wrong)

I find that when I place the mods into either the mod or coremod file doesn't change the "mods loaded" or "mods active"

If I'm using the FML incorrectly please let me know

(The FML integrated into my minecraft without too much hassle, I can run games like normal and haven't had issues with crashes. It's compatible with my texture packs, which is good. So far the only issue i'm having is getting mods to "become active" and work_

Follow the instalation instructions for each mod.

The packaging modders do is different and arbitrary, so it's up to you to figure out if you need to do anything special.

FML/Forge supports all the features necessary for it to be just 'put in mods' but a lot of modders don't use them and so, you have to read.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
