Can someone please help me with my textures?

My folders are:

src\main\resources\assets\daffiergems\textures\items

and

src\main\resources\assets\daffiergems\textures\blocks

My main class's code is:

package net.minecraft.daffiergems;

import net.minecraft.creativetab.CreativeTabs;
import net.minecraft.daffiergems.blocks.DaffierGemsBlocks;
import net.minecraft.daffiergems.gems.DaffierGemsItems;
import net.minecraft.item.Item;
import cpw.mods.fml.common.Mod;
import cpw.mods.fml.common.event.FMLInitializationEvent;
import cpw.mods.fml.common.event.FMLPreInitializationEvent;

@Mod(modid = Main.MODID, version = Main.VERSION)
public class Main {

public static final String MODID = "DaffierGems";
public static final String VERSION = "1.0";

@Mod.EventHandler
public void Preinit(FMLPreInitializationEvent event) {

	DaffierGemsTabs.loadTabs();
	System.out.println("[DaffierGems]Creative Tabs loaded in!");

	DaffierGemsItems.loadGems();
	System.out.println("[DaffierGems]Gems Loaded in!");

	DaffierGemsBlocks.loadBlocks();
	System.out.println("[DaffierGems]Blocks Loaded in!");

}

@Mod.EventHandler
public void init(FMLInitializationEvent event) {
	System.out.println("[DaffierGems]Mod loaded in sucessfully!");
}
}

My item's class is:

package net.minecraft.daffiergems.gems;

import net.minecraft.daffiergems.DaffierGemsTabs;
import net.minecraft.daffiergems.Main;
import net.minecraft.item.Item;
import cpw.mods.fml.common.registry.GameRegistry;

public final class DaffierGemsItems {

public static Item gemGarnet;
public static Item gemAmethyst;
public static Item gemAquaMarine;
public static Item gemAlexanderite;
public static Item gemRuby;
public static Item gemPeridot;
public static Item gemSaphire;
public static Item gemPinkTourmaline;
public static Item gemTopaz;
public static Item gemZircon;

public static void loadGems() {

	gemGarnet = new ItemGems().setUnlocalizedName("gemGarnet").setCreativeTab(DaffierGemsTabs.creativeTabDaffiergemsGems).setTextureName(Main.MODID + ":" + gemGarnet);
	gemAmethyst = new ItemGems().setUnlocalizedName("gemAmethyst").setCreativeTab(DaffierGemsTabs.creativeTabDaffiergemsGems);
	gemAquaMarine = new ItemGems().setUnlocalizedName("gemAquaMarine").setCreativeTab(DaffierGemsTabs.creativeTabDaffiergemsGems);
	gemAlexanderite = new ItemGems().setUnlocalizedName("gemAlexanderite").setCreativeTab(DaffierGemsTabs.creativeTabDaffiergemsGems);
	gemRuby = new ItemGems().setUnlocalizedName("gemRuby").setCreativeTab(DaffierGemsTabs.creativeTabDaffiergemsGems);
	gemPeridot = new ItemGems().setUnlocalizedName("gemPeridot").setCreativeTab(DaffierGemsTabs.creativeTabDaffiergemsGems);
	gemSaphire = new ItemGems().setUnlocalizedName("gemSaphire").setCreativeTab(DaffierGemsTabs.creativeTabDaffiergemsGems);
	gemPinkTourmaline = new ItemGems().setUnlocalizedName("gemPinkTourmaline").setCreativeTab(DaffierGemsTabs.creativeTabDaffiergemsGems);
	gemTopaz = new ItemGems().setUnlocalizedName("gemTopaz").setCreativeTab(DaffierGemsTabs.creativeTabDaffiergemsGems);
	gemZircon = new ItemGems().setUnlocalizedName("gemZircon").setCreativeTab(DaffierGemsTabs.creativeTabDaffiergemsGems);

	GameRegistry.registerItem(gemGarnet, gemGarnet.getUnlocalizedName());
	GameRegistry.registerItem(gemAmethyst, gemAmethyst.getUnlocalizedName());
	GameRegistry.registerItem(gemAquaMarine, gemAquaMarine.getUnlocalizedName());
	GameRegistry.registerItem(gemAlexanderite, gemAlexanderite.getUnlocalizedName());
	GameRegistry.registerItem(gemRuby, gemRuby.getUnlocalizedName());
	GameRegistry.registerItem(gemPeridot, gemPeridot.getUnlocalizedName());
	GameRegistry.registerItem(gemSaphire, gemSaphire.getUnlocalizedName());
	GameRegistry.registerItem(gemPinkTourmaline, gemPinkTourmaline.getUnlocalizedName());
	GameRegistry.registerItem(gemTopaz, gemTopaz.getUnlocalizedName());
	GameRegistry.registerItem(gemZircon, gemZircon.getUnlocalizedName());

}
}

and the joint item class (ItemGems) is:

package net.minecraft.daffiergems.gems;

import net.minecraft.daffiergems.Main;
import net.minecraft.item.Item;

public class ItemGems extends Item {

public ItemGems() {
}
}

Please help me! I cannot continue my mod without this!

setTextureName(Main.MODID + ":" + gemGarnet)

Uh.  Are you sure you want to pass an object there?

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

What else must I do? I went everywhere and that method was passed on his tutorials, Can you please tell me what I must do?

I can pass a string there but that won't really help since I am not using my main class for anything

...use a string...?

I mean seriously, if you put the wrong thing, the game flipping tells you what it was trying to find.

Because I'm pretty sure you didn't name your png "net.minecraft.item.Item@ac49d10.png" I mean "net.minecraft.item.Item@6ead799a.png", er.  "net.minecraft.item.Item@f54ca834.png"  Crap.  It changes every time I run the game.
