Posted April 24, 201510 yr So i just learned about IExtendedEntityProperties. It got me wondering. Is there some kind of IExtendedChunkProperties? lemme explain. I am currently planning a mod to protect chunks. very similar to Towny or factions, but for individual players. my plan was that each time a player claims a chunk, it is stored in a text file with their name on it. and every onBlockBreak event would check if that chunk belongs to the player causing the event. i could assign the player's UUID to the chunk, then rather than loading a list and searching an array for the chunk in question, i could just check this property. is it possible?
April 24, 201510 yr You will need your own internal data structure mapping chunk->data, but you can read and write that data to the chunk during the ChunkDataEvent, same as if you were using a TileEntity (that is: the readFrom/writeTo functions give you access to the NBT, but you don't hold onto the NBT, but convert it back to live data). Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
