Hi Reader,

I am currently making a mod for a friend.

I'm trying to include a laser sword. My goal is so when I right click with the sword the texture changes.

I've got the textures but I need some help with how I change the texture of the item.

Thanks for Reading.

Please Help

Use the

onItemRightClick

method (may or may not be the right name, not at my workspace atm) and change the state from the Item in there. Remember: you have to store the state in the ItemStack's NBT.

Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support.

1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support.

Another easy way of doing it is to remove the item from the inventory and add a different item

Although, this wont be as smooth as the method above, also the item might vanish from time to time
