Posted May 25, 201510 yr Hi Reader, I am currently making a mod for a friend. I'm trying to include a laser sword. My goal is so when I right click with the sword the texture changes. I've got the textures but I need some help with how I change the texture of the item. Thanks for Reading. Please Help
May 25, 201510 yr Use the onItemRightClick method (may or may not be the right name, not at my workspace atm) and change the state from the Item in there. Remember: you have to store the state in the ItemStack's NBT. Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support. 1.12 -> 1.13 primer by williewillus. 1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age!
