Posted June 14, 201510 yr Is there a way to let the player rotate his arm without editing ModelBiped ?
June 14, 201510 yr Author I want that when the player has a specific item in hand, his arm rotates so that it looks like he is holding it over his head and when he is mounted by a specific entity, that he stretches out his arms
June 14, 201510 yr Author I did, its not working when i do it like the following: @SubscribeEvent public void renderPlayer(RenderPlayerEvent.Post e) { if (e.entityPlayer.riddenByEntity instanceof EntityBaby) { e.renderer.modelBipedMain.bipedLeftArm.rotateAngleX = 90; } } PS: After this did not work in the normal EventHandler, i tried putting it in the ClientProxy, but this didn't work too.
June 14, 201510 yr Author Okay, i found out that i can not rotate it with pre, but i can make it invisible WTF? PLEASE HELP
June 14, 201510 yr Maybe if you showed us the code, we could actually help you... If my post helped you, please press that "Thank You"-button to show your appreciation. Also if you don't know Java, I would suggest you read the official tutorials by Oracle to get an idea of how to do this. Thanks, and good modding! Also if you haven't, set up a Git repo for your mod not only for convinience but also to make it easier to help you.
June 15, 201510 yr Hi If you would like to use this (you probably would want to if you cannot modify the vanilla render itself), the RenderPlayerAPI is excellent for rendering the third person player by not event using much code at all. Just add the API to your referenced jars and register a new RenderPlayerBase (you'll understand what that means when you visit the link I'll provide for the API). The only downside to using this is that when releasing your mod you must have the user to install the RenderPlayerAPI mod along with yours. If you don't mind that and want an easy way to obtain the render for the third person player check the mod out here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1283669-render-player-api If you have decided to use the API, check this out: This is done by doing this with the API of course. Create a new class to call your renders: public class CustomRenderPlayer extends ModelPlayerBase { public CustomRenderPlayer(ModelPlayerAPI par1ModelPlayerAPI) { super(par1ModelPlayerAPI); } @Override public void setRotationAngles(float paramFloat1, float paramFloat2, float paramFloat3, float paramFloat4, float paramFloat5, float paramFloat6, net.minecraft.entity.Entity paramEntity) { this.modelPlayer.bipedRightArm.rotateAngleX = 90.0F; } } Register this class in your client proxy: public class ClientProxy extends CommonProxy { @Override public void registerRenderers() { ModelPlayerAPI.register(YourMod.MOD_ID, YourCustomRenderPlayerClass.class); } Development of Plugins [2012 - 2014] Development of Mods [2012 - Current]
