Is it possible to overwrite another mod's textures?

I believe that mods are loaded in alphabetical order according to their names (not modid's). This was always a trick to get arround certain mod incompatibility issues for the mod users. Correct me if I'm wrong.

They are, as long as the mods don't specify otherwise. You can specify that your mod should load before or after a specific mod.

Ah, I did not know that you could specify which mods are loaded first within your mod. Thats something to keep in consideration.
