Hi I'm updating my mod so it could be compatible with MC 1.4.2 Im having an issue with it and I can't figure out what is wrong.. can someone help me? it is a very simple mod that changes some of the things in vanilla MC

I'm sure I'm doing something very stupid, I'm new with working with forge, so if you can help that would be great

Sorry, but nobody can help you if you don't tell us what's not working in your mod, what error the output displays, showing the code for your mod, etc.

 

Oh yeah, and your download link gives us the obfuscated class files. We can't read those, you need to give us the source code.

what is wrong with the mod is that whenever i put the zip into the mods folder like any other mod and start up MC the mod does nothing, so i tried putting the files directly into the jar and it still changed nothing

im not sure exactly how to show you the source code since it only modifies vanilla block files

You're modifying vanilla base files, so you don't put the .zip file into the mods folder, you extract all of the files into your minecraft.jar

And also, modifying vanilla base files is not Forge modding, just so you know.
