I just installed the latest Forge onto Minecraft 1.4.4 a couple of minutes ago.  Whenever I start Minecraft freezes at the "done loading" screen.  No error report is made.  I looked on the EAQ and it didn't help, mostly because I didn't get an error log.  Can someone help?

Possibly useful information:

OS:Windows 7 Pro

Minecraft Version:1.4.4

Forge Version:6.0.1.364

I'm having this problem as well this morning, though I did successfully install Forge yesterday and played the game.  However I was wanting to try Optifine (sp?) instead of MCPatcher, thus I made copies of my mods, save files and texture packs and then deleted my entire Minecraft install, downloaded the latest 1.4.2 copy from minecraft.net and installed the game fresh.  I got the latest Forge 6.3.0.364 and followed the installation instructions and then froze at the Done Loading screen instead of the game going forward and setting-up Forge.

I did delete the Meta-inf folder before copying over the forge files and then when it didn't work went in and deleted the new meta-inf folder as well - and got the same result.

I'm not sure at this point what's changed between yesterday and today but the normal fix for the 'Done Loading' freeze error - to delete the Meta-inf folder - isn't working.

Forge 6.3.x is for 1.4.4 pre release. Get 6.0.1.355 as the latest for 1.4.2!

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.
