So I was playing Factions with a few friends, and they recommended that I should get a few mods. They told me to download the program: Forge. I followed all the steps, and clicked: "install client". It stopped at:

Downloading Libraries

Considering library org.scala-lang-compiler:2.11.1

I thought it was my internet, so installed again. Its stopped in the same spot. I followed multiple youtube videos, and it still didn't work. I tried 1.7, 1.8, win-installer, installer, recommended, newest, etc. I thought it was windows 10, but its not. I realized that when I clicked: "install client", a notepad icon appeared on my desktop. I clicked on the .exe, and it said:

Is there a way to fix this? I really want to download forge!

Delete the scala compiler jar from your libraries folder, it's corrupt, the installer will re-dowload and install it again.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

If you're having the same exact error then follow the same exact answer I gave that guy. If not then don't hijack other's threads.
