so I have checked my code over like eighty times and NOTHING is wrong. Im not getting any errors or anything and yet my item texture will not load. I have my .json file in the correct place and my texture film is a .png! does anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it?

P.S. I am new to the modding community

Have you registered your item/block renderer?

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

You didn't post code with an item mesher call, so I am assuming that you forgot it. Item textures in 1.8 need to be "meshed" in your client proxy's init method. Search for a tut on the mesher and add a proxy with a mesher call.

Also, don't be so sure that you got no error message. Not all errors go to the console. Some only show in the log file, which you need to find in your project. That's why so many experts here specifically ask for logs, not console output.

If you still have a problem, please post/link your "perfect" code and json files.

The debugger is a powerful and necessary tool in any IDE, so learn how to use it. You'll be able to tell us more and get better help here if you investigate your runtime problems in the debugger before posting.
