Plant Generation

Hi, I was wondering if someone can point me to a tutorial on plant generation for 1.7.10, or can tell me the gist of how it's done. I've been trying for a while, and as it seems, there isn't any good guides that I can find on how to do it.

Do you mean generation like biome decoration? Or do you mean a crop plant that you can plant, gross and harvest?

I should have been more specific. I mean to decorate an existing biome. Much like Natura plants if that makes sense.

Look in the net.minecraft.world.gen.feature package. There is plant generation code there.
