I just got a notification from Kaspersky anti-virus that forge-1.8.9-11.15.0.1699-installer-win.exe was infected with UDS:DangerousObject.Multi.Generic and was eaten by the anti-virus program.  Previous versions of forge did not trigger the anti-virus.

 

I figured that I'd let you know. :-)

There is no difference between how our installers are packed for the last year or so.

Where EXACTLY did you get this download?

I need the EXACT link to the exe itself not pages.

Screen shots of what you're looking at also helps.

And if possible sending me the exe so that I can verify it myself.

More information is needed.

We do not pack anything malicious in Forge you can verify for yourself.

But, this may also simply be a false positive, Kaspersky isn't exactly the best and it's detecting it as a 'Generic' which means it THINKS it is one but it isnt sure.
