trying to install a shaders mod. after a variety of troubleshooting that lead me to simply trying to launch with forge on it's own. it seems that forge itself is the problem since it's crashing at start with no other mods. i'm using the recommended version for 1.8 - 11.14.4.1563 using the installer. here's the crash report

PS imo as a new member, the requirement to answer questions such as "what is lex's full nick name?" simply shouldnt be so specific. i can maybe understand it for registering. but for posting is just simply over the line. i had no idea who he was and had to google it. well this part has become a rant. i failed so many times trying to get that question right even after googling it. it gave me another question. i'm already irritated about this error and these additional requirements to post are really testing my temper.

I'm pretty sure this is OptiFine screwing things up. OptiFine is only compatible with specific versions of Forge, but I can't see which version of Forge is needed by OptiFine 1.8 HD U C7.

Side note: OptiFine has a very confusing version numbering system.

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.
