I probably worded that title awfully, but i've run into an issue in this map im playing which seems to only be caused by installing forge.

The issue im having is that when i run MC with forge, the map won't give me the "rare" drops. The items which are meant to spawn in for some reason don't.

 

Here is what i mean;

 

This is without forge installed, purely vanilla.

 

This is with forge installed. This is using version 1.8-11.14.4.1577.

 

Im running forge for 1.8, i've tried the latest - forge-1.8-11.14.4.1577 I've also tried the "recommended" forge-1.8-11.14.4.1563

I have tried doing a fresh mc install and then installing forge again with no change. I've also tried reloading the spawn chunks and still had no change. I honestly know next to nothing about how forge works, so if this is something i can fix with a config change please someone let me know!

It does not, tested the map it works fine.

You may need to load the spawn chunks and get the redstone going, but this is a issue in MC itself not Forge.

Ah hmm, perhaps i've done something wrong?

 

I even went and built the machine literally in the middle of the spawn chunks (as far as i know this is it? I may be wrong and if i am apologies ;-

It still refuses to work for me only when i have forge installed =/ In vanilla it seems to work just fine.

 

 

 

That is not spawn, the place where you are with the tree is actually like 250 chunks away from spawn, hence why it doesn't get loaded.

Spawn is at -1784, 373, so fly over there real quick, or die without a bed so the chunks reload.

I JUST tested this exact map with Forge, it works fine you just need to make sure the chunks load.

Still no change, items refuse to spawn for me.

 

 

Sigh, apologies for taking up your time. I think i'll attempt to play this whenever they do update to 1.9

Hopefully my MC will cooperate with me by then
