November 29, 201212 yr Use this http://adf.ly/673885/http://files.minecraftforge.net/minecraftforge-universal-4.3.5.318.zip and follow this http://www.minecraftforge.net/wiki/Installation/Universal Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE! This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project. www.forgeessentials.com Don't PM me, I don't check this account unless I have to.
November 29, 201212 yr Author okay so downloaded the file u linked which is 318 and followed the Install Forge Open your minecraft(_server).jar, open the universal zip, and drop the contents of the zip into minecraft.jar. Make sure you delete the META-INF folder in the minecraft.jar (DO NOT DO THIS ON SERVER) or your game will freeze at the "done loading" screen.* from the website you included and i still got the "java exception occurred" pop up this is the error im getting in cmd prompt if i open using .bat Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError: Implementing class at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source) at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source) at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source) at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$100(Unknown Source) at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.launcher.LauncherHelper.checkAndLoadMain(Unknown Source) Press any key to continue . . . also i tried the "vanilla server instructions" Vanilla Server Thanks to the work of cpw, now Forge can be installed without modifying the server jar! THIS ONLY WORKS FOR BUILD 315 AND ABOVE!!! Place the universal zip into the same folder where your minecraft_server.jar is, then change the extension of the forge zip to a .jar. Run it. which i assume the 315+ is referring to the last 3 #s of the zip file i was usng "318" i might be making a mistake as to i am a noob but that came up with the same "java exception occurred" please help lol =[ thanks --mr_m1lli
