When I unwrap a model I made in blender, I join all objects into one, then mark seams, then UV unwrap. But the UV map proportions are really weird. Like a simple cube could be stretched really thin, or a circle could be compressed in a oval. What am I doing wrong?

This really isn't a Forge question, but a Blender question.

But it all has to do with the initial approximation.  If you start with a bad approximation, then some of the faces will end up skewed or squashed.

Are they on top of each other? If so, you need to select all and unwrap.

If you marked a seam by accident, make sure you remove it.

Maybe upload a picture to imgur and post it here.
