I can`t find any sources on making name tags above blocks? [1.7.10]

I am making a block that has a timer in the tileEntity class and I want to show that in a name tag above the block. I prefer it 2 blocks above it. could anybody help me?

I see how you`re adding text and rendering the name tag. but I can`t seem to find a way to get info from my nbt to my label.

You don't.

 

You have to make a getter to return the timer variable, and use that instead of NBT.

The NBT in my context was the NBT tag attached to an item stack, not the TileEntity's saveToNBT
