Frustration//Links not working

I spent 20 minutes registering and trying to send a message to LexManos only to be 'blocked' by him. So here, hopefully he will read my damn PM.

 

 

 

 

Right off the bat I want to say that Forge is awesome.

 

 

With that said, today I wanted to play Tales of Kingdom but it requires Forge so I go to Minecraft forums to look for it but it turns out you need to download it from these forums. Now I understand why you would want to keep your stuff under your control, however when links are not working due to whatever issue then it forces users such as myself to have to register in order to PM you about this issue.

 

Speaking of registration, it took me more than 5 minutes to register because of the very stupid question that asks the color of some obscure thing in Minecraft. I am colorblind so how the hell am I supposed to know what color it was? It wasn't until I had guessed so many times that it finally changed the question. Even then you need a convoluted password. It's just a simple forum I don't see why the length of security.

 

 

 

Now I am forced to wait until the links are fixed because you choose not to host anywhere but here, as you should, but this is very troublesome. I am not very happy and I just wanted you to know the frustration your forums have caused me.

Excessive security, broken links, and no way to tell anyone about it

 

It's like Tetris with a curved bottom.

 

Really, I just want to update my forge; in the time in takes to get this first step done, I could have all my mods updated already x.x

I have the same problem. If I try to download Forge, (Adfly or direct) it opens a new tab with a "404 not found" error. It also won't download from MultiMC, which is the program I use for mods now(I used to install straight to my Minecraft.jar, but I couldn't get Forge installed).

And I block all PMs because I hate getting spammed with them.

As for the questions and password needed to register an account is pretty standard procedure for forums, So deal with it.

Well I believe it's obvious that the links are not working for some people. So perhaps you should look into it?

I understand the security, but that one specific question concerning colour is troublesome for people like me who are colourblind. Is it so hard to have a general question that's not referencing something so obscure and minute?

 

 

I'm not here to argue, I was just frustrated with all of the obstacles that were placed in my path on reacquiring the latest version of Forge. Now this is the error myself and a few other people are having:

I don't usually use mods. I only have two and Tales of Kingdom requires Forge. Therefore I'm stuck.

Thats why there are multiple questions, if you're color blind and it asks you a color question either 1) Google it Both of the questions related to color are not obscure that anyone who has played minecraft or watched a mc video should know. 2) refresh till you get a question you can answer, or 3) Suck it up and ask someone, or if you cant do any of those 4) sod off

 

As for you trying to find the latest version and getting that 404, where the hell are you getting the download link?

After a bit of scouring I found the broken links, And they are fixed now.

This could of been a much much easier and more pleasant exchange if you had simply said "Hey the download links in the sticky are broken" I would of immediately known which ones you were talking about and fixed them.

 

But no, you had to get all butthurt and bitch about the simple setup of the forum. You refuse to go to any of the other god damn posts linked in the same damn post! And download them from there, ALL of the links in the releases work just fine! You could also go to the files server directly, but no, instead of taking 10 seconds to do a little research yourself, you get butthurt and bitch about being color blind.

 

Simple solution, quit being whiny and learn to look into things yourself. Thanks for saying 'a' link was broken and having me waist my time to try and figure out which of the serveral hundred it could of been -.-
