ambyvalkrine Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 So long story short, I want to install the mod nevermine AoA. Looks cool. So the process is quite simple, download the files and forge. The only version available is 1.7.10 so I changed my minecraft to that version and tried to install the forge version 1.7.10. After clicking install client in forge, it says these libraries failed to download, try again. It also came with a lot of text that I dont understand, stating: This is the list of libraries: akka-actor_2.11:2.3.3 config-1.2.1 scala-actors-migration_2.11:1.1.0 scala-compiler-2.11.1 scala-library-2.11.1 scala-parser-combinators_2.11:1.0.1 scala-reflect-2.11.1 scala-swing_2.11:1.0.1 scala-xml_2.11:1.0.2 scala-continuations-library_2.11:1.0.2 scala-continuations-plugin_2.11:1.0.2 No idea why its not working. Some details of my computer is that it's windows 10, Intel I5 and gtx 560. Edit*, also found a notes file on my desktop related to forge 1.7.10, it has a lot of text: Considering library net.minecraftforge:forge:1.7.10-10.13.4.1558-1.7.10: Not Downloading Considering library net.minecraft:launchwrapper:1.12: Not Downloading Considering library org.ow2.asm:asm-all:5.0.3: Not Downloading Considering library com.typesafe.akka:akka-actor_2.11:2.3.3 Downloading library com.typesafe.akka:akka-actor_2.11:2.3.3 java.net.SocketException: Address family not supported by protocol family: connect at java.net.DualStackPlainSocketImpl.connect0(Native Method) at java.net.DualStackPlainSocketImpl.socketConnect(Unknown Source) at java.net.AbstractPlainSocketImpl.doConnect(Unknown Source) at java.net.AbstractPlainSocketImpl.connectToAddress(Unknown Source) at java.net.AbstractPlainSocketImpl.connect(Unknown Source) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connect(Unknown Source) at java.net.SocksSocketImpl.connect(Unknown Source) at java.net.Socket.connect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.NetworkClient.doConnect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.openServer(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.openServer(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.<init>(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.New(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.New(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getNewHttpClient(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.plainConnect0(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.plainConnect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.connect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream0(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(Unknown Source) at net.minecraftforge.installer.DownloadUtils$URLISSupplier.getInput(DownloadUtils.java:428) at net.minecraftforge.installer.DownloadUtils$URLISSupplier.getInput(DownloadUtils.java:416) at com.google.common.io.ByteStreams$6.openStream(ByteStreams.java:989) Quote
ambyvalkrine Posted June 15, 2016 Author Posted June 15, 2016 Edit, turns out that its not only 1.7.10 version, its every version of forge. No clue what to do now, Reinstalled minecraft completely, allowed every version of java, downgraded to java 7, Nothing is working. Quote
LexManos Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 java.net.SocketException: Address family not supported by protocol family: connect Temporarly disable your antivirus/firewall or try running the installer as admin. Something is blocking your internet connection. Quote I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
