Posted December 12, 201212 yr I am working on developing my code to breed two different animals together. With the current code I get this error however: net.minecraft.src.EntityBat cannot be cast to net.minecraft.src.EntityAnimal This is the code that is giving the error: public boolean interact(EntityPlayer entityplayer) { List<Entity> entityList = this.worldObj.getLoadedEntityList(); ItemStack currentItemInHand = entityplayer.inventory.getCurrentItem(); for (Entity isLoving : entityList) { if (isLoving != entityplayer) { EntityAnimal toCompare = (EntityAnimal)isLoving; if (toCompare.inLove > 0) { entityplayer.addChatMessage("Found animal in love."); break; } else { entityplayer.addChatMessage("Not Inlove" + toCompare.getEntityName()); } } } return true; } Is there a way to determine if an animal is "inLove" without converting it to EntityAnimal?
December 13, 201212 yr No, only EntityAnimals can be inLove. Bats are not EntityAnimals, so that won't work. I'm fixing the stupid villagers. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1588460-
