I want my block to be invisible and so far I've removed hitEffects and stepEffects from my block, but when I break the block, fall from high up on the block, or sprint on the block particles show up. How do I stop this? I apologize for still using 1.7.10.

Aren't the break effects created from the Block texture? Have you tried giving the block a fully transparent texture?

Was thinking to do that, but anyone who knows how to change textures could change the transparent texture into something visible which is basically cheating.

He is not using 1.8+

 

1. You should update to the most recent version.

2. addDestroyEffects shoulf let you get rid of the block destroyed particles.

3. For getting rid of step effects maybe override getStepResourcePath
