Posted August 12, 20169 yr Hi everyone! I have the latest version of Minecraft installed. My dad and I have installed Forge 1.9.4 last month and we were able to get a lot of cool 1.9.4 mods working. The reason we even installed 1.9.4 was because that was what was recommended by the forge download page. However there are some cool mods that I want to play with but are only 1.7.10 compatible. Is there a way to run more than one forge version so i can try other mods that are not compatible with 1.9.4? Do we have to 1) Uninstall Forge 1.9.4 2) Move the 1.9.4 mods out of the minecraft mod directory (we dont want to delete them) 3) Install Forge 1.7.10 4) Add 1.7.10 mods to the minecraft mod directory Or is there an easier way to do this? We have spent a lot of time finding and downloading 1.9.4 mods. We are wondering if there is a better/easier way of doing this? Dad & Me
August 12, 20169 yr You can create a launcher profile for each Minecraft version and give each profile its own game directory. 1.7.10 is no longer supported by Forge, so you you can play it, but you won't get any help for it here if you break something. Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.
