September 11, 20169 yr Author I went to the forge website, and selected the version of forge that matched the version of the game Im trying to play?
September 11, 20169 yr What launcher are you using? I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
September 11, 20169 yr Author yes the installer ran and completed successfully as far as I can tell, I received no errors.
September 11, 20169 yr Author Ive tried with a program called multimc? that seemed popular, and I have tried with curse as well.
September 11, 20169 yr Author My goal is to get one of the "newer" modpacks for mc to run. 1.8.9 1.9.4 and 1.10 versions have all failed to launch for the same reason so far. thanks for looking into this guys!
September 11, 20169 yr This is caused by either having a corrupt install or using a broken launcher. Delete the libraries folder, reinstall Forge and use the vanilla launcher.
