Installed Forge 1.11 but will not load "Forge mod loader has found a problem..."

I installed the 1.11 but when I log in, I get this message -

 

"Forge mod load has found a problem with your minecraft installation

The mod listed below does not want to run in Minecraft version 1.10.2

mercurius_updater (mercurius updater) wants Minecraft [1.11,1.11]

 

The file log fml_client_latest.log contains more information"

 

I am updating from the last version. Did I go about this the wrong way? I just ran the installer.

It looks like you have the mercurius_update in a Minecraft 1.10.2 instance.

 

How did you install Forge? Please explain every step.

Still working out the kinks in the installer for optional mods.

For now just delete mods/mod_list.txt and you'll be good.

The issue is he ran both 1.10.2 and 1.11 installers.

Actually I went back, deleted the old forge profile and reinstalled. Worked!
