hey there, one short question, i see that some things in AttachCapabilitiesEvent are depricated, and I'm using the  AttachCapabilitiesEvent.Entity for my Capability.

where it is in favor of? when will it be removed. i cannot find anything that says something about "better use... instead of this."

i'm using version 1.10.2-12.18.2.2099 what should be the latest recommened version

my Mod: Extended RPG [W.I.P]

It was deprecated in favor of:

AttachCapabilitiesEvent<Entity>

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

Dracos18s is correct. I ran into this same issue

this is how I use it in two different ways (Entities and Items)

@SubscribeEvent
public void onAddCapabilitiesEntity(AttachCapabilitiesEvent<Entity> e)
{
	if (canHaveAttributes(e.getObject()))
	{
		EntityLivingBase ent = (EntityLivingBase) e.getObject();

		if (ent instanceof EntityPlayer)
			e.addCapability(CapPlayerExtraProvider.KEY, new CapPlayerExtraProvider(ent));

		e.addCapability(CapAttributeProvider.KEY, new CapAttributeProvider(ent));
	}
}

@SubscribeEvent
public void onAddCapabilitiesItemStack(AttachCapabilitiesEvent<Item> e)
{
	if (canHaveAttributes(e.getObject()))
	{
		e.addCapability(CapAttributeProvider.KEY, new CapAttributeProvider(e.getObject()));
	}
}

public static boolean canHaveAttributes(Entity entity)
{
	if (entity instanceof EntityLivingBase)
		return true;
	return false;
}

public static boolean canHaveAttributes(Item item)
{
	if ((item instanceof ItemTool || item instanceof ItemSword || item instanceof ItemBow
			|| item instanceof ItemArmor || item instanceof ItemShield))
		return true;
	return false;
}
