Posted December 11, 20168 yr Hi, I've been trying to create a custom GUI for an entity. I've been following McJty's tutorial for using a GUI here: http://modwiki.temporal-reality.com/mw/index.php?title=GUI-1.9 The only real difference is that I'm using an Entity instead of a Tile Entity. The GUI appears, but the texture isn't sized correctly and is cut off. Here's what it looks like in-game: This is the texture file I'm using: My GUI class is basically the same as the one from the tutorial: public class ZombieGui extends GuiContainer { public static final int WIDTH = 176; public static final int HEIGHT = 180; private static final ResourceLocation background = new ResourceLocation(AutomatonMod.modId, "textures/gui/zombiegui.png"); public ZombieGui(EntityMechaZombie zombie, ContainerMechaZombie container) { super(container); xSize = WIDTH; ySize = HEIGHT; } @Override protected void drawGuiContainerBackgroundLayer(float partialTicks, int mouseX, int mouseY) { mc.getTextureManager().bindTexture(background); drawTexturedModalRect(guiLeft, guiTop, 0, 0, xSize, ySize); } } Anyone know what's causing this? Edit:Found the problem. I had to put the image in a 256x256 file.
December 11, 20168 yr Try something like this. int i = (this.width - this.xSize) / 2; int j = (this.height - this.ySize) / 2; this.drawTexturedModalRect(i, j, 0, 0, this.xSize, this.ySize); VANILLA MINECRAFT CLASSES ARE THE BEST RESOURCES WHEN MODDING I will be posting 1.15.2 modding tutorials on this channel.
