mpledger Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 I installed a new version of java last night and this morning it caused minecraft to crash when installing. Here is an edited version of the crash log. ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // Hey, that tickles! Hehehe! (Backing up the file first in case it didn't fix the problem.) Posted here in case anyone else is having the same problem and doesn't know how to fix it. Quote
uyjulian Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 forge doesn't know how to handle unicode properly Quote [shadow=black,right][glow=green,2,300]☟ ☞ uyjulian's website ☜ ☝[/glow][/shadow]
LexManos Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 It should as long as you save the file with the byte order marker. We can't really do anything to automatically detect unicode, there are reasons why the BOM exists. Quote I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
