Hello All,

I was trying to install the forge client. But when I open up the .jar, it turns into a .cpgz file. I tried installing the latest java, but to no avail was I able to open the client. Not only that, but the file then turns into a folder, and I am really confused as how to install forge.

Seems your OS is acting weird. What you shoudl do is open terminal and run the jar manually:

java -jar {full path to the jar file including the .jar extension}

and how do i do that lmao, I'm not very good at terminal stuff
