I'm trying to set up a modded server. I have a vanilla one and I've portforwarded. Now i just need to understand how to get forge working on it. I have the forge intsaller and I've run it. It has downloaded all the required files but when i try to run the JAR files, the command prompt comes us for half a second then closes. The only thing i can run is the Batch file to open the vanilla server.

Open a command prompt in the server's directory and run java -jar forge-<forgeVersion>-universal.jar. When you open the command prompt manually, it will stay open after the server process stops.

If you don't know why it's crashing, post the FML log (logs/fml-client-latest.log) in a spoiler (the eye icon) or on Gist/Pastebin and link it here.

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.
