Error upon attempted World Generation

Whenever I try to generate a world with Minecraft Forge (and 37 other mods! Phew.), I get the following error message after a while:

Something is either overwriting Forge files in the jar, or Forge was not installed properly is what I would guess from that.

I removed Generator Ports (needs updated to new Forge, methinks!) and made a new level. It worked like a charm. Thanks!

Out of curiosity, what is Generator Ports?  I have not heard of that mod?

A mod that installs the old generators for 1.8.1, B1.7.3, Alpha+ Alpha with snow, And Classic

 

And for the error all mods that includes forge patches for the build that forge intergrated modloader with (sorry forgot number) will make a conflict if they edit vx.class even if it includes a patch

No mod should be overwriting any file that forge touches, if they do then they are instantly unsupported.

If they need to make a base edit that cannot be done by other means, no matter how small, then they should supply a pull request for forge.  Forge is designed to eradicate base edits so every mod is just drop-in-mod-folder installable.

 

Old generators, like biome generators?  Scott is making an api for things like that, but even know you can overwrite the stock generation world instance with reflection so base edits should not be necessary regardless.
