Hello!  I'm new to the forum, as well as modding in Minecraft, though I have been playing since alpha (on and off).

The IDE I use is the latest community version of intellij. I downloaded it last night to start playing around with the forge mdk but have already run into some problems with setting up the environment.  Via the available Forge documentation I was able to get past the  gradlew setupDecompWorkspace console command, but when it came to actually importing the build.gradle file, I got an error -- a filenotfound exception: nexus-maven-repositories-index.properties could not be found

Don't index the Forge Maven repository, the repository doesn't support it and it's not required. You shouldn't need to index any Maven repositories.

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.

Oh, great! So I don't need to worry about it then, thanks!
