Forge with Github

Hey guys,

I'm trying to make a mod with a friend. So to exchange the changes we've made, I use github like many other developers. Its awesome and works pretty easy but it seems to have problems with forge.

Because I'm a bit lazy, I'm using the eGit Plugin for eclipse. This is a integration of the github gui into eclipse and makes the commiting, pushing and cloning much easier.

After hours of trying and failing(I nearly killed myself...) I saw that the eclipse project folder structure is not the same as the real explorer structure. There is no source folder in the src/minecraft folder, but eclipse displays the structure as: minecraft/src/...

I shared my project, but while trying to commit my files to the local copy(I think its called stage? dunno, pretty new to Git), I encounter a error that says that says:

"An internal error occurred Entry not found by path"

I googled the error but there was no good solution or even a error message like I had.

Is there any good solution to bring this damn project up to github or do I have to do a pain-in-the-ass process? It would be extremely annoying if I have to upload the files everytime manually-.-

Sry 4 probably bad english. I'm from germany :P

Don't use egit, get a proper git client.

Try the pahimar workspace setup, I don't use it personally but it seems to be good.

Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE!

This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project.
