Forge wont show up in "versions"

I downloaded forge 1.10.2 and everything seemed to go fine, but when I opened the minecraft launcher and tried searching for the forge 1.10.2 version in the "versions" list it wasn't there. I've tried restarting/reinstalling minecraft and the forge version but I am still at a loss. Is there a new way to download forge? If you know what is happening please reply asap

Have you made sure to scroll down to the bottom of the list? As it is alphabetically sorted, it won't be near the vanilla 1.10.2.

Yes but it still isn't there. Is there like a setting i need for forge? I just don't understand why it won't show up.
