Posted July 17, 20178 yr I'm trying to download 1.8.9 forge but it says the libraries won't download even though I've tried to fix the problem by downloading the libraries and putting them in the right spot.

Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.

July 18, 20178 yr Author Alright I got everything and i have the command thing up and i typed everything in but i dont know what to type for the name of the installer thing what do I type?
August 4, 20178 yr I did all that, java -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -jar [Forge.jar] (I renamed to just Forge) and when i ht enter it still did not show up saying that it was unable to access that file, why is that?
August 5, 20178 yr Stop placing brackets everywhere. Remove them. Also, most likely you've disabled file extensions in Windows, so if the file is already jar type, don't name it *something*.jar, just *something*. java -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -jar Forge.jar Edited August 5, 20178 yr by MrBendelScrolls
