the directory is missing a launcher profile. please run the minecraft launcher first

im launching minecraft and putting it to forge and then starting it but it still doesn't work. I'm trying to download the better pvp mod

What exact folder?

Your user folder? 

Are you running the mojang launcher as a different user?

Give the FULL paths.

Navigate to that folder, does it exist? Does it have a launcher_profiles.json ?
