So this is weird. With Forge installed, I can only see the light from a beacon if the beacon itself is within my FOV. With vanilla Minecraft, I can see it no problem. Haven't tested with ModLoader yet.

If I look up at the beacon light itself, such that I can't see the beacon anymore, the light disappears. Screenshots and Forge log attached.

For this particular test I was using MultiMC, but I've also tested with MagicLauncher and a direct minecraft.jar installation of Forge.

I've confirmed this behavior both with the latest stable version of Forge (minecraftforge-universal-1.4.7-6.6.0.497.zip) and the most recent version of Forge I could find (minecraftforge-universal-1.4.7-6.6.2.533.zip).

Also attached a bunch of system specs, anything I figured might be useful... I'm using an Early 2011 MacBook Pro, running 10.7 Lion. I have the latest version of Java that's provided in Mac Software Update.

Hm, wasn't able to upload the attachments. Links here:

It was a slight oversight in the new TESR culling code that was put in place to speed up rendering.

It has been fixed

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
