Hi All,

I've been trying to get a 1.12.2 forge server up and running on my local ARCH linux box. I have successfully brought up vanilla, forge+mods, and heavily modded servers on this machine with out issues. 1.10.x, 1.11.x and others. This is my first of the 1.12 series. I can bring up the vanilla 1.12.2 sever without issue. The forge server always crashes out with a log similar to the attached. I've tried both the latest and recommended forge versions. Same error. Any help will be appreciated.

Installed using the installer. Command line was

Java -jar forge-xxx-installer.jar -installServer

install log looks clean.

Is there a direct link to manually download the libraries? Maybe if I install the by hand? Manifest list for the libraries so I can check that everything is there?

thanks.

The server installed successfully, you should now be able to run the file forge-1.12.2-14.23.0.2552-universal.jar
You can delete this installer file now if you wish

oops, sorry

Will a ls -lR of the libraries directory be sufficient? I'm away from the server for the next few hours. Will post this later today.

thanks for the help!

ok. Any other ideas to proceed? I'm not sure where to go next. Is there additional debug logging I can turn on that might help?

 Update:

I tried Oracle JDK with the same results. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I re-downloaded everything from scratch, this time using the latest suggested, which is now 1.12.2-14.23.1.2555. This combo works. I'm not sure if its an updated forge version or a bodged download of the other versions.

I just remembered, I had manually downloaded the 1.12.2 server file before I got forge. I wanted to check that a vanilla server was working before I went to get the forge stuff. Today, I let the forge installer download the minecraft server jar. Maybe they are different? I may have made the basic mistake of not letting the forge installer do ALL the work.

In any case I seem to up and operating. Thanks for all the help!
