Forge 1.12.2 These libraries failed to download. Try again error.

I downloaded all i need to download but my foge still doesn't work. Could someone please help me?

I said "I downloaded to these files from Maven Repository." but it's still doesn't work. Help me please.

My computer is connected to the internet and my java is allowed for my firewall.

When I come into windows explorer in the location where the jar is, I have locatie.png in my screen.

Because should I have selected the jar file if I have pressed shift and right click?

 

If I have selected it, the option of the "Open command window here" is not.
If I have not selected it, I do have the option. And when I press that, I get the window in my taskbar. When I try to open it I get nothing in my picture.

The picture doesn't show your taskbar so there are a couple of details missing.

When you say you have it in your taskbar and try to open it I assume you mean you see it on your taskbar but the window does not appear, so you click the icon to bring the window up.

I think depending on the speed of your computer the command window may appear in the taskbar before it has finished starting, if you click the button to "Open a Command Prompt here" and nothing appears to happen immediately, try leaving it for a second or two before clicking or doing anything else.

It should be noted that clicking on the icon of a window/program that is already in focus it actually hides that window, so in your haste you may be telling the window to hide itself while it's technically in focus, but hasn't shown itself yet.

I had the exact same problem, and I looked at all sorts of different websites.

But none of solutions worked for me.

On the other 2 computers I had acces to, it worked just fine without any errors.

Eventually I reset windows to factory settings with keeping the files.

And it finally worked.

 

So if you're as desprite as I was, you could reset windows.

So how do I download the .jar version, all I can find is the ones that say win

If you are on http://files.minecraftforge.net which is the ONLY place you should get Forge from¹, the Jar installer is the one that just says "Installer", rather than "Windows Installer"

 

¹Note that any other place that claims to supply Forge may be trying to get you to download malware and blame it on Forge.

I'm not kidding, people have come here complaining that the Forge installer installs unwanted apps when they downloaded a generic installer with mocked up Forge branding from some sketchy site.

I followed the linked post and after opening the command prompt with the folder then entering java -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -jar forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2768-installer.jar

When I hit enter it says 

Error: Could not find or load main class .net.preferIPv4Stack=true

 

However the installer I downloaded is indeed in that folder.
