Posted March 20, 20187 yr Hi all, i have a recipe with a special pattern and i want a special mob spawner as result like skeleton spawner. But when i put "data": a_number under the item, i have a pig spawner ingame, how can i do please ? Thanks
March 20, 20187 yr "data" in the recipe json files is metadata. Aka "damage value." It is not NBT Data, which is what is needed for spawners. March 20, 20187 yr Author Ok thank you, but how can i do that please. I took a look at minecraft recipe files and the result for the green carpet for example is "result": { "item": "minecraft:carpet", "data": 13, "count": 3 } They use "data", isn't this the same thing (i didn't found something done with mobs instead of dye) ? Sorry for my english
March 20, 20187 yr Author I saw that it is impossible to do that way. You have to modify the block logic or to create another class for that. I'll do with eggs. Thank anyway
March 20, 20187 yr To specify NBT for an ingredient, use an ingredient of type minecraft:item_nbt and specify the NBT data in the "nbt" property. To specify NBT for a result, simply specify the NBT data in the "nbt" property. You can see an example of a recipe that results in a spawner here. Edited March 20, 20187 yr by Choonster Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.
