Alright so in my mod there are going to be several types of elytra with tweaked stats, like durability, ability to be repaired ect. However I can't seem to get my elytra to function at all. My elytra already extends ItemElytra, but is there still more I need to do?

Elytra class:

package com.Frost2779.ElytraCrafting.items;

import com.Frost2779.ElytraCrafting.Main;
import com.Frost2779.ElytraCrafting.init.ModItems;
import com.Frost2779.ElytraCrafting.util.IHasModel;
import net.minecraft.item.ItemElytra;

public class WoodenElytra extends ItemElytra implements IHasModel {
    public WoodenElytra(String name){
        setUnlocalizedName(name);
        setRegistryName(name);
        setMaxDamage(100);
        setNoRepair();

        ModItems.ITEMS.add(this);
    }

    @Override
    public void registerModels() {
        Main.proxy.registerItemRenderer(this, 0, "inventory");
    }

}

Items Class:

package com.Frost2779.ElytraCrafting.init;

import com.Frost2779.ElytraCrafting.items.ItemBase;
import com.Frost2779.ElytraCrafting.items.WoodenElytra;
import net.minecraft.item.Item;

import java.util.ArrayList;
import java.util.List;

public class ModItems {
    public static final List<Item> ITEMS = new ArrayList<Item>();

    public static final Item REINFORCED_STICK = new ItemBase("reinforced_stick");
    public static final Item REINFORCED_LEATHER_SQUARE = new ItemBase("reinforced_leather_square");
    public static final Item REINFORCED_LEATHER_WING = new ItemBase("reinforced_leather_wing");
    public static final Item LEATHER_HARNESS = new ItemBase("leather_harness");

    public static final Item WOODEN_ELYTRA = new WoodenElytra("wooden_elytra");

    public static final Item HARDENED_LEATHER = new ItemBase("hardened_leather");
    public static final Item DIAMOND_REINFORCED_STICK = new ItemBase("diamond_reinforced_stick");
    public static final Item DIAMOND_REINFORCED_HARD_LEATHER_SQUARE = new ItemBase("diamond_reinforced_hard_leather_square");
    public static final Item DIAMOND_REINFORCED_WING = new ItemBase("diamond_reinforced_wing");
    public static final Item DIAMOND_HARNESS = new ItemBase("diamond_harness");

    public static final Item ENDER_INFUSED_LEATHER = new ItemBase("ender_infused_leather");
    public static final Item ENDER_INFUSED_LEATHER_SQUARE = new ItemBase("ender_infused_leather_square");
    public static final Item ENDER_INFUSED_WING = new ItemBase("ender_infused_wing");
    public static final Item ENDER_INFUSED_HARNESS = new ItemBase("ender_infused_harness");
    public static final Item ENDER_PEARL_DUST = new ItemBase("ender_pearl_dust");
}

This is because EntityPlayer checks for if(item == Items.ELYTRA)

You will never get this to work the way you want.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

Do you know of any way I would be able to do what it is I want without having to recreate portions of the source code?
