Posted April 20, 20187 yr Ok, so I'll save you the story, and jump straight to the issue, I have done what needs to be done up to this point, I'm double clicking on my forge java thing wanting the server gui to pop up, and yet it does not AT ALL, yes i have the latest java version, in fact I just updated my java no more than 5 mins ago, i am using the latest recommended version of Forge for 1.12.2, and I have watched 3 tutorials so far, none of which solved the issue i am having, I run Windows 10 home 64 bit. PLEASE HELP!
April 20, 20187 yr You need to use java 8 not java 9. And run it from the command line to get a real error... Also Post useful titles -.- I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon

April 20, 20187 yr I don't I'm just taking a educated guess. We cant help you more unless you post your logs by trying to run it from the command line and telling us what it says. Blast, I try to avoid doing command line stuff, though when doing Bukkit related stuff, i don't have much of an option there
April 21, 20187 yr You're using Java 9, which Forge doesn't support. Uninstall it and install Java 8 instead. Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.
April 21, 20187 yr Author FINALLY, after uninstalling Java 9 from my system, @Choonster Thank you so much, you have saved my throat and my brother form me screaming at the top of my lungs in anger.
