I imagine I'll get banned for doing something wrong, so I apologise in advance.

I've been trying to set up a custom modpack on a server, made the pack in curse launcher etc etc. Everytime I add things that require forge, the server just crashes. I've installed the latest versions of forge and the mods that require forge and crash (Cofh), and I'm just flailing wildly now to try and find help.

I'm not sure this is the required file, but if it's not I do apologise.

The forge website shows 14.23.3.2673, as being the latest, I assumed this was the case? I've tried using the older version that the log requests, but that didn't work either.

Is there anywhere else a crash report might be generated? I've re-installed everything and now it's crashing without making a crash report to that location.

I appreciate any help you can provide, I'm not smart enough to understand this other than Forge dislikes some mods?

I don't have any mods installed now except for RedstoneFlux, CoFHWorld, and CoFH Core. If I remove CoFH Core it launches, so I assume this is the error? Do you think it's worth my while trying to contact the author?

This is why posting the FULL LOG FILE is important.

It will tell us exactly what files it is scanning for mods and which ones it is loading.

Delete the logs folder, re-run it, and give us all the files it creates.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

I am sorry, as I said I'm very new to this so your patience is appreciated.

I did as you suggested, deleted the logs file and started the server once more. It crashed instantly and made a new logs folder, however there's no new crash report and the logs folder is empty.

Then show us the full screenshot of you running the server from the command line.

There is ALWAYS a log SOMEWHERE.
