April 27, 20187 yr Use the installer from http://files.minecraftforge.net/ to install Forge. Whatever you used to install didn't install it correctly. I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
April 27, 20187 yr Author @LexManos I did use the installer from there. I even went back and installed it again just to make sure and I keep getting the same errors. Getting kinda frustrating. She's so excited for it and I don't want this stupid little error to break her heart.
April 27, 20187 yr If you install it using our installer then it will be fine. As it installs the file it's trying to download. Post the install log, it is created in the same folder you ran the installer. Also show screenshots of what launcher you're using, and post the full log from the launcher. The more information you give the better we can help you. The only way that you could be getting the error that you posted is if the file our installer installs isn't there, so I have to go under the assumption you didn't install it correctly. It *could* be a profile issue. You installed it on your windows profile and not on your daughters. More log files will hell our by saying exactly what was installed where. For regular installation: Install desired mc version use forge installer then hit install client Regular Server: Create server folder Download forge installer Change the installer to install server then select server folder Launch and your done: Look up on the internet about port forwarding For MDK(Minecraft Dev Kit): install jdk setup jdk path look up on the internet based on your os type in your command prompt "javac" if you don't get an error you done it right Download forge mdk version desired extract to folder go into mdk folder open command window there type "gradlew setupDecompWorkspace eclipse" open up eclipse and select your mdk folder > eclipse folder then hit launch Edited April 27, 20187 yr by jredfox
