Replace the # with the amount of ram you want to use but I don't recommend using more than 1/4th of the ram in your computer for this.

Post the log/crash report with the most recent modification date. If there aren’t any then make sure that Minecraft is launching at all.

When the "Not Responding" window comes up are you giving it time or quitting as soon as you see that?

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

 

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

 

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.

Stab in the dark, have you tried updating your graphics drivers?

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

When I logged into Minecraft and showed the log, it didn't say anything about Yggdrasil or anything.  It just said "LyghtningWither joined the game" and there was nothing after that.

I like programming. I also have a lot of problems with programming. So I came here on this forum so that I could get my problems solved.

 

Thank you to everyone who has helped me on the forum! You will be appreciated.

@lyghtningwither The Yggdrasil thing is a matter of how fast your client makes requests to Mojang's authentication servers, if you don't see the exception then your client is probably just giving enough time between the requests that the server's don't complain.

 

From what I've read elsewhere the client should catch that exception and basically say "Oh ok, I'll wait a bit and try again"

The only other thing I can think of it something embedded itself into your Minecraft directory and is messing with things when you launch it with forge so if you want to try deleting your .minecraft folder and reinstall everything.
