How to increase time before timeout on forge server?

Hi there,

 

My internet sucks plain and simple. I'm trying to run just over 200 mods on a server hosted by serverminer.com. However, when I join the game, I time out. The odd time I'll fully connect before the 30 second timeout but not usually. I think that if I could add a few more seconds to the timeout clock (or whatever) I'd be able to join fine.. can anyone help me achieve this?

You may be able to change it by launching the client with the argument: 

-Dfml.readTimeout=60

Although I don't recommend it because if it is taking that long to connect if you do it will be almost unplayable.

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

Looking at the code it's Logical server, so technically you're right ?

It's a VM argument, you append it to the java -jar ... line in your run script.

1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support.
