Universal Minecraft Editor not saving on Java 1.12.2

Good morning,

First I would like to thank the people here that helped me sort out the whole Forge thing, my son now has lucky blocks which makes him very happy.

I am now using the Java version 1.12.2 and I seem to be having issues trying to get the Universal Minecraft Editor to save anything. I try making crazy weapons which I can do on the Windows 10 version without issue but for some reason I make the weapon and save it but it will not update on my Java version character. I also tried making things in the Windows 10 version and copying them over and still no luck. The Java version is using the Forge and has the lucky block mod installed.

Any ideas or tricks I am missing here in order to save the items I make on the Java version?

Thank you.

To edit the host player, you need to edit the Player tag found in World Settings. The host player file goes unused by the game. The UME works fine. Items and edits do not always transfer over from Windows 10 edition to Java edition, so whatever you're trying will likely not function how you want it to.

For future support requests about the UME, please contact me directly through my website https://www.mcmodtool.com

But does it work on Java Edition?

1. Do not follow tutorials on YouTube, especially TechnoVision (previously called Loremaster) and HarryTalks, due to their promotion of bad practice and usage of outdated code.

2. Always post your code.

3. Never copy and paste code. You won't learn anything from doing that.

Support & Bug Reports:

Spoiler

1. Read the EAQ before asking for help. Remember to provide the appropriate log(s).

2. Versions below 1.11 are no longer supported due to their age. Update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
