I've noticed that the player has a farther range for breaking/placing blocks, and I haven't been able to figure out how to do that myself, but I want to make my mod increase the player's range when wearing certain armor. any help appreciated.

do you know where the gamemode classes are? i looked in the entitymp class and the gamemode command class but i cannot find the class that holds the specifics of what teh player can and cannot do when in which gamemode

so how would one combine these two areas of code?

  public float getBlockReachDistance()
    {
        return this.currentGameType.isCreative() ? 5.0F : 4.5F;
    }

 

if(player.getCurrentItemOrArmor(0) != null){
		ItemStack hand = player.getCurrentItemOrArmor(0);
		if(hand.getItem() == ashtonsmod.Pike){

		}
	}
