Posted February 19, 20196 yr I'm making an IC2 addon, so I want to add recipes for IC2 machines via it's API in Java code, not JSON. However, I can't get any OreDict items, even vanilla ones. I run this at post-init: public static void recipeInit () { IC2GunsMod.logger.info("Getting ores"); for (ItemStack s : OreDictionary.getOres("ignotIron")) { IC2GunsMod.logger.info("Found ore:" + s.getDisplayName()); //addCraftingRecipe(new ItemStack(Items.GUNPOWDER), "iii", "i i", "iii", // 'i', s); } for (ItemStack s : OreDictionary.getOres("ignotGold")) { IC2GunsMod.logger.info("Found ore:" + s.getDisplayName()); } } Only "Getting ores" is printed. getOres() returns empty list. I tried to check this with JEI, enabled OreDict search, but nothing is found for "$ignot" or "$ignotIron".
February 19, 20196 yr The word is "ingot". Some tips: Spoiler Modder Support: Spoiler 1. Do not follow tutorials on YouTube, especially TechnoVision (previously called Loremaster) and HarryTalks, due to their promotion of bad practice and usage of outdated code. 2. Always post your code. 3. Never copy and paste code. You won't learn anything from doing that. 4. Quote Programming via Eclipse's hotfixes will get you nowhere 5. Learn to use your IDE, especially the debugger. 6. Quote The "picture that's worth 1000 words" only works if there's an obvious problem or a freehand red circle around it. Support & Bug Reports: Spoiler 1. Read the EAQ before asking for help. Remember to provide the appropriate log(s). 2. Versions below 1.11 are no longer supported due to their age. Update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.

I don't think that it worth adding recipe factories for a couple of machine recipes in addon. If the IC2 team would provide API for JSON machine recipes, I'll use them.
