Could anyone send me a function that would draw a rectangle on the user's screen, given (x1, x2, y1, y2), every frame? (I am new to forge) I have tried asking this for 1.8.9, but that is old, so I updated to a more recent version of the game.

Could you send some example code, and which imports to use?

I assume that you are trying to draw an overlay, in which case I would suggest you to check out this tutorial: https://github.com/TheGreyGhost/MinecraftByExample/tree/master/src/main/java/minecraftbyexample/mbe40_hud_overlay.

Replace the drawing overlay code with your own drawing code (or in this case, Gui#drawRect). Your IDE should help you to figure out the rest.

I looked at your link, but it seemed to be for rendering images. Could you send me some code for just drawing a plain rectangle (by knowing the vertices)? You are correct about me trying to draw an overlay.
